Air travel can be a joy or a nightmare. You never know until you’re on the plane which way it’ll go.

When we’re doing the same thing as other members of our species, we sometimes see something so silly that we can’t help but laugh, even if it’s unpleasant or uncomfortable. Sometimes we notice other travelers or airport staff. Here are some strange and funny airport videos.

Leaving your phone at an airport is probably permanent. Newcastle International Airport staff shared a hilarious selfie on Facebook after a traveler left their phone behind.

Everyone enjoys clever wordplay, or “songplay.” Who could imagine a better “welcome home” than a baby greeting her father at the gate?

This is one of the strangest airport sleeping arrangements you’ve probably seen. Waiting for a flight can be stressful.

So, he used his bag as a backrest and seat to support his lower body. Despite appearances, he’s probably more comfortable there than anywhere else.

Traveling can be exhausting, so there’s only so much you can do at an airport. Unless you’re a kid, then it’s okay.

This is one of the worst “coming home” banners I’ve ever seen. Mokie left his gate and was shocked.

His friends made a poster-sized version of his most embarrassing photo and held it up in the airport. I hope he laughed it off and wasn’t eating after landing.

Many people worry about traveling with their own or other people’s children. Traveling with kids requires extra care and packing.

When the TSA told this woman to remove her shoes, she needed a safe place to put her child. Hope the baby wasn’t X-rayed.

Putting important papers near children should be obvious. This man should have kept his passport away from the kids.

Border control wouldn’t accept the family’s “new and better” passport, so they couldn’t go on vacation. The man had to visit an embassy to fix the problem.

Where Are Your Clothes?

When the airport lost his bags, he flew back in his underwear. He did it to show airport workers how to handle passengers’ belongings.

Others thought this was funny. Losing some of his priceless possessions or at least his spare clothes made it so serious for him.

This picture would make anyone panic, whether they’re afraid of flying or not. This violates airline safety on many levels, and a collision is likely.

Everyone forgets how their luggage looks on the luggage conveyor. Duffel bags could have been forgotten by the dumbest.

This guy committed both offenses, so his friends gave him a bag with his face on it to prevent another incident. Hope he never forgets again.

Travel is chaotic. Everyone has waited anxiously at the baggage conveyor belt, hoping their belongings won’t be lost.

Spainair decided to offer customers a farewell gift and distribute them on the Christmas Eve baggage conveyor. Everyone got an age-appropriate surprise gift.

Welcome Mom

This family wanted to humiliate the matriarch the most. They hung placards to welcome their mother and wife home from jail.

When she saw her family carrying embarrassing placards, the mother looked away. Other passengers questioned the signs, but the family will never forget mom’s smile.

Proposal

Seeing a public marriage proposal makes you smile. Exhilaration and astonishment come with being asked to spend your life with the asker.

When his wife returned from vacation, he proposed. Everyone in the background cheered when she said “yes”

When a loved one returns from vacation, there should be a party. This guy didn’t wait until they got home to greet them.

At the airport, he decided to open shop. Since it was always 5 o’clock somewhere, he had a stand and margarita mix ready for National Margarita Day and his loved one’s return.

This girl encapsulates everyone’s airport attitude. Baggage, passport, and security lines are always long and exhausting.

In a busy airport, slow walkers are the worst. This grandma walked through the airport at her own pace, and her face says it all.

She was so unhurried that she stood in the traveler’s path. The crowd behind her wasn’t mad, judging by their faces.
